About Our Medical Director

Dr. Larry Banta, a renowned neuropsychiatrist and Certified Medical Director, has served diligently at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation - Caldwell since 2000. Highly respected in the healthcare community, he is frequently called upon to consult and offer direction. Dr. Banta has served as President of the Idaho Psychiatric Association and has a passion for serving the under-privileged in the community.

Dr. Banta is very active in weekly clinical meetings and monthly performance improvement meetings and activities at Caldwell. He has been instrumental in serving on our interdisciplinary team, ensuring the patient as a whole is considered. Dr. Banta is committed to understanding the disease process and its impact on the individual’s behavior. This way, the appropriate clinical care can be rendered.
